Ah, the Brewery. One of my favorite places. Some may have the idea that I must drink a lot... all the time. I actually do not drink much outside of Amtgard events and holidays. I do greatly enjoy brewing though, and some seem to think I am good at it. I have gathered together some information and recipes and brought them here. Brewing Basics Meade Athol Brose Quick Athol Brose The following books are suggested reading for the brewer: The Complete Joy of Home Brewing 3rd Edition by Charlie Papazian This book is also know as the "Home Brewer's Bible". It has all the information needed to start you on your way to making great beer and wine. The Complete Meadmaker by Ken Schramm This book contains invaluable information for the serious meadmaker. Sacred and Herbal Healing Beers by Stephen Harrod Buhner "The Secrets of Anciant Fermentation" - this book contains many sacred and herbal recipes and includes historical information on each. The author of the book has also written "Sacred Plant Medicine". These books may be purchased online or in brewing supply stores.
